Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture Kakha Kakabadze, along with representatives of the National Forestry Agency, was on a working visit to the Czech Republic. Within the framework of the visit, a meeting was held at the Moravian Karst Protected Landscape Administration, where the representatives of Georgia and the Czech Republic discussed the principles of forest and protected landscape management.

It should be noted that within the framework of the forest sector management reform in Georgia, the best international practices are actively being shared. The Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia and the National Forestry Agency cooperate with relevant organizations and implement a number of targeted programs, which is one of the important contributing factors to the success of the reform. Current activities include the program "Sustainable Development of Aragvi's Protected Landscape and Local Communities" funded by the Czech and Austrian Development Agencies (CzDA/ADA). As well as the ongoing forestry reform in the countryside, the priority direction of the mentioned program is the use of multipurpose forests, including promoting the development of ecotourism and raising environmental awareness.
