Borjomi Plateau forest restoration project

With the support of the National Forestry Agency and the initiative of the company "IDS Borjomi Georgia", the forest restoration project on the territory of Borjomi Plateau, continues. Up to 2000 Caucasian pine seedlings were planted in the plateau area just during the spring works.

The joint project of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture and the company has been implemented on the territory of Borjomi Plateau for the fifth year, within the framework of which a total of 17,000 seedlings have been planted on an area of ​​4 hectares. The project also envisages a 5-year seedling care plan. The event was attended by representatives of the diplomatic corps and local self-government. The aim of the campaign is to restore and rehabilitate the Borjomi forest, and also to actively involve the community in the forest restoration process.

IDS Borjomi Georgia aims to improve the ecological condition of Borjomi and effectively restore the forest cover.
